Superfine

Located in DUMBO, Superfine is a favorite amongst many who live in this unique Brooklyn neighborhood. Tucked away under the Manhattan Bridge, you could almost miss it but my suggestion is DON'T! If your looking for a great destination with a cool vibe, this is the place. I would classify Superfine as a hybrid. It is a bar, restaurant, music venue, and local hangout.
Inside, the space is intriguing with a post-industrial aesthetic. Once your lips meet the food, you will be hooked. The menu has lots of fish and fresh vegetables dishes. Being a burger lover, I got a cheeseburger with bacon and it was AMAZING. But why take my word for it? Go try it yourself and experience this really trendy space.

Rachel's Taqueria

Rachel's Taqueria is one of the best Taquerias & Mexican restaurants in Brooklyn and in NYC. The restaurant puts a fresh spin on classic mexican food. Serving delicious dishes such as campesino-style burritos, ancho-chile-marinated rotisserie chicken and deeply savory barbacoa. In all honesty though, my favorite reason to go is for the $4 margaritas (YUM!).

Rachel’s vibrantly muraled, postered, and photo-collaged walls house a generous handful of self-serve tables. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, and staff is friendly.

Gino's Restaurant

Best Italian Restaurant in Bay Ridge = Gino's

If you are a Booklynite, you have been to Ginos. What first started off as a pizzeria in 1964, has now turned into one of Brooklyn's best finds.

Amazing pizza and pasta, fresh meat and great wine. Can it get any better!?

Some other restaurants in the area, such as Peppino's and Vesvio's, try to compete but none have succeeded. Do I ever see it happening? No.

Now instead of taking about the food, I decided to just let the pictures do the talking this time. Enjoy.

Rice to Riches

Thought rice pudding was boring as a child? Think AGAIN! Rice to Riches will disintegrate any misperceptions you have about this delicious dessert. With flavors such as Cheesecake, Rocky Road, Rum Rasin, and Mascarpone your tastebuds will go for a rollercoaster ride. Too many options to decide your choice? NO WORRIES! There are unlimited samples!  Wonderful for noncommittal people… that is, until you have to commit.

Unfortunately, good rice pudding doesn't come cheap. A small will cost you roughly $7 but its all about the experience and eating something out of the ordinary. You can get PinkBerry or ice cream whenever you would like, but rice pudding is a rare find.

Bar 89

Welcome inside Rizzo's favorite restaurant, Bar 89. Glad you can join!

This place is near and dear to my heart. As a  "foody" obsessed with burgers, I will state that BAR 89 has THE BEST burgers my taste buds have ever tasted. If you are in the Soho/Noho area and are in the mood for some delicious American food, this is the place for you. Great sandwiches, huge salads and AMAZING BURGERS.

Once finishing your delicious meal, head upstairs to check out the bathrooms for a sensory experience. Transparent bathroom doors that cloud over to opaque once you enter.

L&B Spumoni Gardens

Consider yourself a connoisseur of Sicilian-style pizza? Sucker for a spumoni ice? If you answered yes to either/both of those questions, there is NO place better for you than L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, NY. (http://www.spumonigardens.com)

This restaurant is considered a landmark in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Why? You wouldn't ask that question if you tasted it. But once their lips meet the light crunchy crust, adorned with mozzarella cheese beneath a layer of tomato sauce, they are born again.

The Sicilian slice at L&B is very unique and special. It might have similar architecture to the way other places make their pies but don't let that fool you. L&B places the cheese directly on the dough. The cheese is then placed on top with a quick sprinkle of Pecorino Romano and a generous drizzle of olive oil to finish off the pie. When your lips meet the light crunchy crust, you will be born again. If that doesn't fulfill all your desires, their spumoni will definitely do the trick. This IS a MUST try.

P.S. You will be in the company of many Guidos/Guidettes aka the REAL way to experience Brooklyn!!!
